TaiLi Electric GLC-12 isolating handcart (hereinafter referred to as this isolating handcart) is a three-phase AC 50Hz indoor high-voltage switching device rated at 12kV. TaiLi Electric GLC-12 is mainly used in 10kV high-voltage transmission and distribution lines for closing and opening live, no-load three-phase circuits, and for providing electrical isolation between high-voltage busbars, circuit breakers, and other equipment under maintenance and live high-voltage lines. TaiLi Electric GLC-12 features the same external dimensions as ZN63A-12 and is specifically designed for 1000mm-wide KYN28A-12 withdrawable switchgear. This isolating handcart complies with GB1985   High-Voltage AC Disconnectors and Earthing Switches   and GB/T11022 Common Specifications for High-Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment Standards.

 Designed for 1000mm Withdrawable Cabinets TaiLi Electric GLC-12 is optimised for 1000mm-wide KYN28A-12 medium-voltage withdrawable switchgear, with the same external dimensions as ZN63A-12 for easy installation and interchangeability. This isolating handcart features a phase spacing of 275mm, meeting high-current isolation requirements.


 Reliable Mechanical and Electrical Interlocks TaiLi Electric GLC-12 is equipped with reliable interlocking devices. When the handcart is in the test position, the isolating plugs are fully disconnected and the shutter plates close automatically. This isolating handcart effectively prevents misoperation and ensures operational safety.


 Modular Design TaiLi Electric GLC-12 adopts a modular design, allowing handcarts of the same specification to be fully interchangeable. The frame of this isolating handcart is assembled from steel sheets precision-processed by CNC machines, ensuring safe and reliable insulation coordination with the cabinet.


 Two-Position Operation TaiLi Electric GLC-12 features both test and service positions within the cabinet, each with position indicators. When this isolating handcart is moved from the test position to the service position, the movable contacts reliably engage with the fixed contacts in the cabinet. When returned to the test position, the isolation gap is clearly visible.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between an isolating handcart and a circuit breaker handcart?

A: An isolating handcart provides isolation function only it creates a visible electrical gap during maintenance and cannot interrupt short-circuit currents. A circuit breaker handcart is equipped with a vacuum circuit breaker capable of interrupting load and fault currents. They serve different purposes and are not interchangeable.

Q2: Can GLC-12 be operated under load?

A: No. This isolating handcart is designed for closing and opening  live, no-load  three-phase circuits. Operating the handcart under load is strictly prohibited and may cause serious equipment damage or personal injury.

Q3: How do I confirm proper contact when the handcart is pushed to the service position?

A: This isolating handcart is equipped with position indicators that clearly show when the service position is reached. Additionally, the circuit resistance value can be measured to verify proper contact between the movable and fixed contacts.

Q4: Can isolating handcarts from different manufacturers be interchanged?

A: Handcarts of the same brand and identical specifications can be interchanged. However, due to differences in manufacturing tolerances and fit dimensions, handcarts from different manufacturers may not be compatible. We recommend using products from the same manufacturer to ensure reliable coordination.

Q5: What happens to the shutter plates when the isolating handcart is in the test position?

A: When the handcart is in the test position, the isolating plugs are fully disconnected, and both the upper and lower shutter plates close automatically, completely isolating the live fixed contacts and preventing maintenance personnel from accidentally touching live parts.
